I vote for Granola Girls for Best New Business. Their bars are phenomenal!
Urban Deli is a great success story and something to be looked at for others.
Only opened for almost a year, they are very busy, and succeeding in their cuisine.
Urban Deli has rejuvenated King Street and has brought more business to the street because of it.
From what I’ve heard, Liz not only has a restaurant background, but a business background. Unique in the restaurant business.

Alley Gria, by far the best!! Opened in October 09. It’s different from what we have seen before in SJ, food is amazing with a concept no others have, the atmosphere is great, cozy, warm and welcoming, with staff that enjoy their jobs and their guests even more! You can’t go wrong with this restaurant. Newly renovated, great big windows facing the Harbour…you gotta just love it.
Alley Gria should be best new business!! I’ve never been to a more interesting and fun restaurant environment! A definite must for any group looking to have a great time with a fun staff and amazing food.

I nominate the Big Tide Brewery. Warm, friendly, great beer and food. Every major city needs an establishment that brews their own beer. This is one of the things that tourists ask about a lot. While other establishments have a larger selection none brew on the premises. This is a great addition to the Uptown area.
